Chicago Lawyers' Committee for Civil Rights (CLC) defends civil rights and helps advance racial equity throughout Illinois and Indiana. They prioritize the voices of the community partners by actively listening to those most affected by the issues and collaborate to find equitable solutions.
For their 2024 gala, they centered voting rights and access throughout the state of Illinois and Indiana highlighting their work around voting in jail, the Election Protection program, Midwest Voting Rights Program, the Illinois Voting Rights Act, and much more.
This piece for their 2023 gala featured their work with Brighton Park Neighborhood Council (BPNC) and the Lugenia Burns Hope Center, highlighting two of their three advocacy platforms: education equity, equitable community development and housing, and Midwest voting rights.
