Chicago Votes Action Fund is a volunteer-driven democracy and power-building organization focusing on inspiring and mobilizing youth to be knowledgeable and active in the issues that face their community on a local and national level. We have been working with them to share the personal experiences and creative talents of their organizers and affiliates.

Chicago Youth Awakening

​In fall 2015, we teamed up with Chicago Votes to offer a special series featuring organizers telling stories about their personal and professional lives studying, working, and living in Chicago. These young organizers share their perspectives on police accountability and community safety, Chicago Public Schools, Black Lives Matter, and why they've chosen to work toward getting young people registered to vote and involved in the political discourse.
